Handmade Gift's For Men ????

With Christmas gift giving creeping closer each month; my craft group are planning events to present our homemade gifts to the public. A "Summertime Market" in the gardens of our lovely cottage is planned for the end of October and.......members want to make a big effort with the creation of "gifts for men". But.....what can we make for them ?????? Here are some of my published projects designed with men in mind.
DAD'S TUCKER BAG AND MUG KEEPER
THE FISHERMAN'S PLACE MAT - 'DAY DREAMER'

THEN FOR THE PET LOVING MAN (or woman) - 'HAPPY PETS' GROOMING MATS

OR PETS GROOMING BAGS;

OR A PET'S JOURNAL FOR HAPPY SNAPS
BUT - There has to be more nice things we can make for the men in our lives................DO YOU HAVE A SUGGESTION???? I would love to hear it.

  2. What great ideas...sometimes men can be tough to sew for. How about shaving kits?

  3. I'm making pillowcases for some of the men I know. They are easy to customize and easy and fast to make! I have a tutorial on my personal blog. http://sewgoodsewfar.wordpress.com Thanks for sharing your ideas!

  4. What lovely practical yet pretty projects. They are so inspiring.
    What about a book bag or a bag to keep a journal in. My husband keeps a birdwatching diary :>)

  5. Your projects are great! I hardly ever make for men because I can't figure out what they need. Last year I made them all quilts.

  6. Pillowcases, boxer shorts, sleep pants, robes (my 19 year old has a robe that makes him look like Hugh Hefner - it's hysterical!), lunch bags with manly fabric, luggage markers, do-rags, laundry bags to hang from the doorknob, quilts (my sons love theirs), head/butt appliqued bath towels, zippered fabric shaving or toiletry bags for travel, emergency kits for the trunk of the car ... bed caddy (tucks between mattress and boxspring) for remote/reading glasses/book/other stuff, remote holder to hang over the edge of the arm of the chair, bbq apron ... that's all I can think of right now :)

  14. I think men would love to have a heat pad made with wheat, maybe one or two. My DH loves the ones I have made him. I add a little stitchery to them to give them character.
