Sewing & Tag Making

Hi There Blogging Friends!  As always; life is hectic, but I have still managed to do some sewing for my local craft group and to make tags for the two tag swaps I'm in all year.
Firstly; here is my tag for my own 'Aussie 12 months of Tags' - month of April.
Our Subject was 'Red Poppies' as a tribute to fallen soldiers in world wars.

Next up, is the tag I made for my USA partner in 'The Altered Paper' 12 month Tag Swap.  The subject was the letter A, so I thought my friend overseas would enjoy being watched over by a sweet Angel...

such and Angelic face could only play gentle music.....

Next are pics of my sewing efforts for a new theme in our local craft shop.  The theme for mothers day was gifts in mauve, purple and teal green colours.

I made this "Memory Cushion" as a main item in the display.  It has a pocket to pop special photo's in, which I thought any Mother would love....

The ladies in the photo are my Grandmother on my Mothers side and one of my Aunties....both deceased now but still dearly loved.

Then; I just went super practical with some cute little pin cushions....

some glasses cases....

and some mug hugs!

  1. Wow Judith you have definitely been super busy hey? Both tags are great and I really admire sewing people. When I bought my very expensive sewing machine last September (haven't used it since!)I was all fired up to make a mug hug but soon realised that I was kidding myself, I was never any good at sewing so all I managed to make was lavender bags :(
I love the sewing projects you've made, and I'm very envious.
    Happy crafting - and sewing,
    Elaine
