Aussie Notecard 2014 Swap - 'Hello Birdy'

Hi There Blogging Friends!  I just couldn't wait to show you some of the fabulous cards that my swap girls created for our first month of this years 'Aussie Notecard' Swap.

The first one was created by Linda  and sent to Vicki.  The colours are gorgeous and the sweetest little bird is gently resting on some beautiful flowers and foliage.  The delightful saying "life is a matter of moments" just begs us to slow down and smell the flowers....just love it!

The next one was sent to Linda by Tanya.  Don't you just love these two sweet birdies, sitting close together and brushed over with a sweep of gold.  The beautiful mauve roses and bit of bling make it "oh so dreamy"!

The next one was created by Janette and sent to Diane.  It is a beautiful mix of pretty background paper, sweet flowers, glitter glue and the boldest little birdy of all;  the Blue Wren.  Janette was true to the species by ensuring that the colours of her birdy were as they are in the wild.   A wonderful card Janette!

Finally; here is Jenny's creation that she sent to Tanya.  What a fantastic view from Jenny's rustic window and best of all a little birdy stopping by on the outside window sill, to share a little message.  The colours are beautifully executed for the creation of a gentle and thought provoking card.....love it also!

These are just a few of the cards from ladies that do not have blogs.  Next post will be a sneek peek at February's subject 'Bold and Bright"..........oh its a lot of fun!

Aussie Notecard Swap and Card Making in the Heat

Hi There Blogging Friends!   Here is a pic of the card I made for Janette in my Aussie Notecard 2014 Swap.  The January theme was 'Hello Birdy' and at first it appears that my birdy was flying by his birdcage, but the second pic will reveal that he was flying to spend some time with his girlfiend who is in a very secret place.

Below is the card I received from Vikki.  We are all trying to do some sort of technique or something different with our swap cards and I just love the fact that Vikki did her own artwork on the my card.  Isn't it the sweetest birdy!!

and.....like most people in Australia at the moment I have been feeling the hot weather, so I sat in front of my air-con for a couple of days and made the cards below.   It was fun playing with my dies, embossing folders and punches.

A Painful Journey But Still Crafting

Hi There blogging friends!  It has been quite awhile since I have been able to do a post due to having to have knee replacement surgery on my right knee.  All I can say is it is one big "ouch" with weeks and weeks of crippling pain while you try to learn how to walk again. Unfortunately; I will only just get over this one and I will have to go back in to have the other knee done, so there isn't much else happening in my life at present. However; during this time I made a special easel card for my aunty and uncle who celebrated their 70th Wedding Anniversary.  My mother is on the left and my aunty is on the right of the picture.

Next is a canvas I have just completed.  Love the butterflies flying freely.

Then; my September Aussie Yearly Tag Swap 'Peace" and

my September Tag 'Falling Leaves' for my overseas swap at 'The Altered Place'.

October's Aussie 12 month Tag Swap 'Time' and

The Altered Place October Swap......'Witches'

Blogger is still far from being a best friend.   Can't seem to operate it these days!

Here's the Full Peek!

Hi Again!  My swap partner Diane has let me know that she received her Aussie Tag Swap tag for the month of August - 'The Great Outdoors'.  So here it is!

My tag was inspired by the song which had a line that went..... "up down pedal, up, up down...gotta getta across to the other side of town".......do you remember it?  I can't remember the title but that line is humming around in my head on repeat mode....lol!  I am loving the little birdie paper clip that I used to hold the mini tag on.

Still Crafting!

Hi There Blogging Friends!  I am still  having enormous problems with using Blogger, and have only just managed to get this post up. I've been working on Mixed Media Canvas Art over the past few weeks. Below is one of the finished ones with the theme 'Butterfly Garden' and the following picture is a sneek peek of one I have just completed for publication.

This tag is my 'Vintage and Lace' tag for my partner in the Altered Place Swap for August.  I loved creating this one.

and this pic is a sneak peek of my 'Great Outdoors' tag for my Aussie 12 months of Tags swap for August.  My partner should have it soon.

Now I am up to date - July Tag Swapping

Here are pics of this months swap tags.  The subject for my Aussie 12 months of  Tags for July is; 'Beauty of  a Tree'.  My swap partner Elaine decided to send me a "money tree".....there is no arguement that it would be a beautiful tree to have in my back yard.  Thankyou Elaine!

Below is the tag I sent to Tanya.  The background is done with alcohol inks; which was my first effort with the product.  I enjoyed it so much that I just couldn't stop playing with them.  The following pic is a card where I also did the background with alcohol inks.  The tree's are embossed with two different embossing colours.

Tag Swapping Catch Up No:2

Here are my June Swaps.  The first tag is the one I did for my partner Elysia in Canada for the June 'Altered Place' Tag Swap.  The subject was 'Everything is coming up Roses'.

Below is the tag I made for Elaine in my Aussie 12 months of tag swap for June.  The subject was; 'Queen for a Day'.  This sweet girl reminded my of  Princess Diana and if there was anyone I would wish to be Queen for a Day, it would be her.

Below is Tanya's tag which I received as her interpretation of 'Queen for a Day'.  Wasn't it a clever idea to think of the Queen of the Cards?   I love the way the girls in my Aussie 12 months of Tags swap are stretching their imaginations and creating such different tags.

Also; in June I made a giant tag for a birthday swap in my local Papercraft Artists group.  We all celebrate our birthdays in the same month and swap a tag of any shape or size.  I had a great time creating this cute house.  I've only recently purchased the window die and I love it!

Tag Swapping Catch Up

Hi There Blogging Friends! I am just about beside myself with the frustration that I am having with trying to post to my blog. Things just are not working for me anymore.  I'ts the absolute pits and is preventing me from posting. I've been trying to get a post up here all day and even now it is sloppy and full of frustration.  My curser keeps freezing to the one spot...just will not relocate, the Post Setting dialogue box is open and won't close and the screen won't scroll down.  I am so disappointed as I "used to " love posting to my blog when we had the old styling.  One more day like this and it will be goodby blogging from me!
Below are some of the lovely tags I have swapped over the past few months.
The first gorgeous tag of mother and daughter was sent from  Diane in my Aussie 12 months of tags swap for the Month of May, and the subject was 'Remember Me"....just beautiful!

The tag below was received from Vicki in our Aussie 12 months of tags April Swap.  The subject was 'Red Poppies". Just love the way Vicki has created a jigsaw pattern.  I feel it demonstrates the broken lives of  those who have served our country.

The following two tags are my Red Poppies and Remember Me sujects that I sent to the girls.
